Out and about with friends on a lazy Sunday
Today Bob and I went to have a nice lunch at a restaurant that we have never been before in an area of town where we had not ventured. It was a nice afternoon, with our friend Esmeralda and her Mami and daughter and grand-daughter. Here is a picture of it.
We have just one year left in Costa Rica, we should go out more often! This was a nice time!

At the beach - 08/16-18
Went to the beach for a well deserved rest! The weather was beautiful, the beach was just about empty so Milo could run around and Bob could use his metal detector without people following him around to ask him what he is doing.
We didn't have much rain the first day so we could watch the sunset. We have been at this beach before and we have seen better sunsets but as cloudy as it was, this was really very pretty as well.
Bob and I had a great time just relaxing and doing practically nothing but reading, laying around and watching TV but we were mostly outside.
From morning to evening, the change was amazing. The second day started all nice and sunny and really warm but early afternoon, it started to rain and the waves became stronger. In Spanish, el mar estaba bravo!
I know that guy over there, what is he doing? I better go check!
Bob running around the beach with Milo
Yes, he smelled the whole area and made it his!
Milo preferred to watch it all from the safety of his carrier. He liked the water but not when it came rushing at him.
We went to look for the National Park Manuel Antonio (http://www.manuelantoniopark.com/mapk/english/privatereserve.html) so we could go next time (if we leave Milo with someone). On our way there, we stopped at the little town of Quepos and at a restaurant built around an old airplane. This is is an arial picture of the port of Quepos.
And here are some pictures of the restaurant.
Our second night at the hotel, we had the air and fans on because it was so hot and muggy outside, and we ended up being very cold! LOL - We got a shirt on Milo and he had to snuggle up and go to sleep!
Look, mama is taking a picture of us!
Before driving home, we spent a few hours at the town of Jaco. The beach there was empty too! Milo really loved the water and had a great time running into it and trying to get away at the same time. He really didn't know what to make of the foam!
And that was the end of our little beach vacation!

He also preferred to see the bugs from the safety of the room.
Here is one sample of what was outside of our room. Not what we would like to get close to us!
